F-21 Fighter

F16V or F21 is the question posed by the article. The aircraft has the same shape of the F16 but has F22 and F35 DNA might be the way to describe what is a new fighter, that is being pitched to India.

Read a similar article last week - basically F-16 airframe, with a new RADAR and (I think) a new pile of computers added to enable a form of the F-35's network capabilities.

Neat concept - new life into an older airframe.  Worth considering.

The F21 would be new. Now if existing F16s were upgraded then the airframe would be old, with new engine and capabilities. I wonder if the F 21 should have dual engines ?

I like the modernized F15, just enhance that with the same upgrades.
