hello I have a question about about EOD or bomb disposal guys are they combat engineers or ammunition techs?

Both do EOD under different circumstances.

There are also other explosive courses, such as IEDD. These are the guys in the suits defusing the IEDs. I could be wrong, but I beleve this course is limited to the Engineers

IEDD is a subset of EOD, and it is trained to other occupations that do EOD.
In Afgahnistan, many IEDD Ops were Navy divers.

EOD is a multi-discipline field.  Plenty of RCAF maintenance pers conduct EOD call outs throughout Canada.

Thanks for clarifying.  I'm still trying to get my head around all the spec. courses and how they branch out
