Another one that doesn't believe in the PMs virtue signalling.

Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte revived attacks on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Tuesday over a helicopter deal that he cancelled himself earlier this year.

Duterte called off plans to buy 16 helicopters from Canada in February after news that the prime minister was reviewing the deal over human rights concerns.

The agreement stipulated by the Trudeau government for the estimated $300-million deal said helicopters could not be used for combat.

Saudi Arabia is not the only one that is not enamored by the PMs rosy outlook.

Still a dumb reason to complicate an already done helicopter deal.

Again, if we were the only country that built light & medium utility helicopters...fine.  Be self-righteous and demand they only be used in certain ways if the sale goes through.

But it's 16 helicopters.  Medium utility helicopters.  That they could purchase from literally dozens of other manufacturers.  Hurting Canadian business just so they can go by a whopping 16 choppers from Airbus or someone else seems short-sighted.

And why even do a review of the human rights aspect, if they previously agreed to go ahead and sell 1000+ combat vehicles to Saudi Arabia after conducting a review on that deal?  Are we really expecting the Philippines to come out of that review worse?

Seriously.  Stupid.
