Hi, I wonder if someone can please help.  My grandfather was an original PPCLI who was invalided out and re-enlisted as a railway engineer.  On his re-enlistment papers he indicates that he was a member of the 45th Regiment (Active Militia).  Can anyone advise me please of this unit.  He was based in Alberta (Peace River Country).  45th Regiment seems to be a Manitoba unit.  Any idea where we can find any records of service?

He was James Archibald Foote Service Number 1558.

Any and all help gratefully received.

Thanks :D
