Confirmation of Medical Fitness

When I was found to be medically unfit for service in my original application, I received an email first from a med tech, and another from the detachment commander to confirm this, so I know what will happen if I’m still deemed medically unfit.

I have reapplied with much better evidence of being in good health now, years later, and am anticipating being found to be medically fit this time around.

Will I receive an email if found to be medically fit, or should I just call/visit every couple of weeks from here?

I am wondering this specifically because the detachment that is handling my file does not schedule interviews until medicals are complete, so there is still one more step to complete that requires something on my end.

I would delete this post if I knew how, but can’t seem to find a way.

I called my local CFRC to find out, as I should have done in the first place.

In case someone is in a similar situation, here is what I have found out:

If found medically unfit, you will receive a letter in the mail, and may receive an email ahead of this when your CFRC medical staff find out themselves.

If found medically fit, you will receive an email when this information is made available to the staff about next steps. In my case this will be to schedule an interview. If your interview is already complete, I assume this will simply be when you receive an offer. I would check the status on the application portal in this case.

I was told to simply wait and call back in a month if I’m not contacted. From there I will likely call every two weeks.
