No idea about that thing but if you want outstanding baked goods in Ottawa, this was always my go-to outfit. Their pain batards are amazing and their pastry selection is to die for.

Yes, Art Is In is fantastic. A great place for Bruch and to grab some baked goods to go.

Another hidden gem just outside Ottawa, in the town of Almonte, is HFT for doughnuts.  Their S'mores cream filled is probably the best I have ever had... and they are practically next door to the milk based distillery, Vodcow.

It is.  They also have a small location in the Byward Market and that's where I was introduced to their cronut (although called something else b/c apparently cronut is trademarked).

Another gem on the edge is The Black Walnut Bakery in Cumberland.  Their croissants are evil....

There's a donut place called Maverick's that I used to visit too frequently when I lived in Ottawa.

Another good one is the 'Scone Witch'; really good scones, and looks like you can now get 'ready to bake at home' ones as well (and they also have home delivery in the Ottawa area).

On various occasions used to send stuff from there while deployed, Art is In and a few other places via Givopoly (because who wants to send flowers when you can send cupcakes instead). It was always well received, and the cronuts were a fan favourite.

Can second Maverick's donuts, and SuzyQ is another good one.
