AN/PRC 117G - UHF Capability

Bit of a long shot.
Has anyone had any success in programming the 117G for use with aircraft on the UHF band?
Scoured through ACIMS and Google and cannot find any lectures or guides on how to utilize the UHF side of the radio. Not something that's typically used (in my experience) as I've always had alternative means to communicate with aircraft.
It is listed as a capability but I'm looking for some "how to guides", aide-memoires to distribute, etc.

I found the Manual online but it isn't overly helpful, unfortunately.

It’s what the operators use. Maybe ask your Unit Security Officer to request more detailed instructions from DGAEPM for the specific aircraft you work on?

VULOS mode, mil-air band freq (upper VHF/low UHF) and either AM or FM depending on the CEOI info. If you're in CT and there's comms problems pilots are lazy and immediately switch to PT so be ready for that.
