I am a military movie buff and after watching "Saving Private Ryan" at least 15 times, I have almost memorized Abraham's letter to Mrs. Lydia Bixby. Although it is written to an American family, it still hits home with the gist of the contents and can be used for a single casualty as well. I received a copy of my Grand Uncle's service records from the Norfolk Constabulary in England after he retired with 33 years of service. He also received 2 medals from King George VI as well. I don't know where to send a copy of my father's permission to marry sheet. I am trying to find out where he was stationed in England during WWII.
Regards,
Dave Byram
