The Great Gun Control Debate- 2.0

I live in ON but work in QC and many of my co-workers live in QC, mostly Monteregie and and Montreal. Anti-gun sentiment is still very high in those areas and the QC CFO has made QC the most difficult place in Canada to legally own or use handguns.

South Alberta Light Horse Regiment to amalgamate with larger reserve force

Taking more experienced soldiers away from Reg F units to babysit the P Res has never gone over well. Unless we go back to the "70's where an RSS posting was an end-of-career experience for some and a banishment for others. Affiliations, loyalties and turf protection are not confined to the...

The Great Gun Control Debate- 2.0

Not in the GTA, LMD or QC. Gun control is a tipping point issue in those areas. Those who opposed C-71 and C-21 wouldn't have voted red in any case. QC has always been anti-handgun and is the centre of gravity for gun control movements in Canada. Really? Poly, Cukier's CFGC and Docs Against...

Special Service Medal - Domestic Operations Bar

All the way back to Oka would work in my favour. :)

The Great Gun Control Debate- 2.0

I'm curious, though, how many applications for a handgun freeze exemption for sport shooters have been received and have been approved since C-21 came into force. There has to be, at least, one worthy Canadian sport shooter.

The Great Gun Control Debate- 2.0

Did you watch the C-21 Senate hearings? Every single amendment which would've supported lawful sport shooters and target criminals was voted down. So, when a future government pro-gun bill goes to the upper chanber the Senators propose and pass a ton of anti-gun amendments which destroy the...

The Great Gun Control Debate- 2.0

OIC's no. But government bills, yes. Currently, the new gun laws have "no reversal" clauses. Once prohib, always prohib. I don't think an OIC can reverse that.

Special Service Medal - Domestic Operations Bar

Once again, Border Services Officers, who are not "first responders", but were essential to maintaining the international supply chain during emergencies, are excluded. The "forgotten blue".

The Great Gun Control Debate- 2.0

With a Liberal dominated Senate, I don't think he'll be able to. And I'm willing to bet there will be new LPC Red stained Seante appointments before the next election to stymie and CPC bills, should PP win.

The Great Gun Control Debate- 2.0

Now, almost four years later and not a single legally owned firearm has been confiscated under Trudeau's "Assault Style Firearms" ban, but a bit shy of $42 M has already been spent This is working out so well.

    Baltimore Bridge Collapse

It appears the vessel lost power twice while underway. After the second time, it struck the bridge support.

Will 2021 see a new pistol buy?

Maybe I'll check that one out. Bought a Strikeman system, which seems quite similar, just after Christmas. Returned it earlier this month for a refund.

Trudeau Popularity - or not. Nanos research

He invested wisely in green energy, car batteries and textiles. Specifically colourful hosiery.

Trudeau Popularity - or not. Nanos research

It's almost like they don't want to get re-elected. Climate czar Guilbeault says post 2030 carbon tax hikes are a possibility. Or does Team Red have a box of silver bullets to ensure them a win in 2025?

Commander of 8 Wing Trenton arrested, charged in hunting incident

I remember reading a case like that. I'd have to look it up again, But, IIRC the accused had buried firearms in his yard, properly "rendered inoperable" and in a container. He was found guilty because the container, while buried, was not lockable. I'll see if I can find it.
