Hi, I don't know if anyone here can help but I'm looking for an email address.  I'm close to graduating ROTP and was told if i don't want my promotion held up to make sure my security clearance has been properly initiated.  I've contacted my ULO and they sent me a screenshot showing the process...

    The "Nursing Officer" Merged Thread

Thanks! Does anyone have a rough idea of what a year in a high readiness unit would be like? Eg: 2 months in a civy hospital, then away 2 months training, back to the hospital 3 months etc? I'm mostly interested in acute care/trauma nursing so I'm trying to figure out what is the best route for...

    The "Nursing Officer" Merged Thread

Hey, I'm currently in the ROTP program with 2 years left to graduate and just wondering in addition to Ottawa, Edmonton, Halifax, and montreal, are there any other high readiness units?  Any advice on how to persuade superiors to consider one for these units?

Toronto: Love it or hate it?

I grew up in New Brunswick and learned the French hated the English and vice versa. Amongst the anglophones, us Saint Johners hated Fredericton and Moncton. Since moving to Toronto I've also learned I'm stuck up and self centered based on my postal code. Despite the fact most Torontonians like...

    Air Force Nurse

Hi, I've been accepted into ROTP for Nursing Officer with my basic being June 27th.  My question is what, if any effect will being Air Force have on me as a nurse? From what I've read on these forums, there is no difference other than uniform as its a "purple trade"?  I'm currently working as...

    BMOQ Regular Force 2014 - 2017 [Merged]

Hey all, thanks for the info.  I realize my workout regime is going to suffer and if it was my priority I wouldn't join the military - its just something I really enjoy doing.  That said, if I can find ways to minimize the damage I'm all about looking for solutions.  I appreciate the  tips. I'll...

    BMOQ Regular Force 2014 - 2017 [Merged]

I'm 230 lbs, 6'.  So I get the same amount of food as the guy that's 5'6" and 140 lbs??? Any larger guys have any tips? I'm really into body building and have spent years getting used to eating a lot and constantly.  I'm also worried about not eating enough and losing muscle mass.

    BMOQ Regular Force 2014 - 2017 [Merged]

I'm just wondering what the food situation is like in BMOQ.  Are we allowed to keep things like protein bars?  I saw in another post there are vending machines but I'm not looking to eat junk food. How often do we get to eat meals and is it a set amount or can we go back for 2nd's and 3rd's if...

ROTP at Civilian University 2004 - 2018 [Merged]

I'm also applying for ROTP nursing.  When I went in to the recruiting centre to finalize my application Apr 15 I was told that there were 30 of us merit listed (meaning up for selection) and that they were only choosing 5 nationally.
