    How common are tracer rounds

I don't know if this is helpful information, but I work at a CFAD in my day job and we can't issue tracer to a couple of ranges due to the risk of brush fires. I can ask tomorrow for the specifics if you'd like.

    RCAF Ball Cap

Logistik Unicorp has available (in my opinion) a poor quality, ill fitting, plain black ball cap for issue to sea cadets. I feel like it's a slippery slope to request that stuff up from Logistik. At least the private purchase ones on the west coast were comfortable.

Allowances - Post Living Differential (PLD) [MERGED]

if this is still the case, it is only applicable to Dockyard Workers as they have separate unions on both coasts that negotiate for them separate from PSAC. The remainder of the public service fought long and hard to insure that equal work was paid equal wages in the mid 2000's. I started as a...

AOR Replacement & the Joint Support Ship (Merged Threads)

You're wrong about Asterix not carrying ammunition. It stops in Bedford at least twice a year to load up, and not just for the ships force protection.

    MARS being renamed?

I thought it was specifically for the units of Land Force Central Area, and that none of the other Land Force Areas were willing to adopt it?

Freedom Convoy protests [Split from All things 2019-nCoV]

This is from today in downtown Ottawa. Admittedly, the noise would drive me crazy, but otherwise it doesn't seem bad:

    Arid small pack?

what happened to the pack covers we issued in Afghanistan? I worked in clothing stores at KAF and we had tri-walls full of arid covers, like the old winter white ones, that more or less elasticed around the pack and hid everything except for the straps. Same thing for the camel back, except that...

Army Captain recommends bringing sex workers up to the lines to relieve stress

Didn't Bernard Montgomery set up regimental brothels to some success? We went back to pips and crowns, pearl grey, and the executive curl, there's very clearly a precedent for sex workers.

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

It depends on the course. HIE 208 consisted of three essays and a weekly discussion. BAE 238 was one group assignment, weekly discussions and an exam. I would say I read for a bout three hours a week per course.

Sexual Assault & Sexual Misconduct in the CF

Admittedly, I didn't read the whole transcript and that bit about the sink was pointed out to me by someone else and at the time, while the wording is awful, it didn't seem to me like an unreasonable question, mostly because I was under the impression that both ankles were bound and that she was...

Sexual Assault & Sexual Misconduct in the CF

While his choice of words may not have been the best, did you ever read the court transcripts to get the quote in context? Pages 444-445 finds the judge trying to determine the physics of penetration when the female has her fanny in a sink (the word used is passing) and her ankles held together...

The Siege of Jadotville - Netflix

I don't think it helps that in all of the major conflicts of the last century, we were relatively isolated from the actual violence. Nobody between Ontario and Alberta really saw any of the really awful stuff like what was happening in Britain, France and else where. The distance between Canada...
