ROTP at Civilian University 2004 - 2018 [Merged]

My apologies I thought you were referring to the part of the application once RMC contacts you, not the initial application. I don't remember needing an applicant number for that part of the application. Sorry!

In the email that provided the link to that application (titled Regular Officer Training Plan) there should be your applicant number in red. Should be item 5, or at least it was for me. Hope that helps!

Thanks for your advice DAA! I will definitely be sending in my best questionnaire possible, just working on the "essay" portion. I have already taken the CFAT when I previously applied but thank you for the information nevertheless.

Yeah, I've heard the same but I've also heard a few stories of people who were well into university being accepted to only RMC and starting in pretty much first year as you said.

ROTP at Civilian University 2004 - 2018 [Merged]

Thanks for the reply KerryBlue. I would hope most courses would transfer seeing as both RMC's civil engineering program and my program have to be approved by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (there are really only so many ways to learn about reinforced concrete haha). Civvy U is also...

ROTP at Civilian University 2004 - 2018 [Merged]

Well I talked to a recruiter today and I'm almost definitely going to be unsuitable for ROTP because I have less than 18 months of school left. (Unless anyone knows of 3rd years being accepted?) Either way the recruiters advice was to send in my questionnaire anyway to get the official...

ROTP at Civilian University 2004 - 2018 [Merged]

Oh man, it's cool to be back on here. I turned down an offer to St. Jean and then RMC when I was coming out of Gr 12 (Didn't get the trade I wanted (Eng O) and other reasons). I'm in third year Civil Eng at Western now and looking to re-apply for ROTP at Civvy U. Couple questions: 1) Anyone...

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

Hey everyone. Awesome to hear about everyone getting acceptances! Congratulations. I got an offer yesterday for Artillery Officer with the first year at St. JeanĀ  and then at Kingston earning a Bachelor in Engineering. (For those interested; I applied through CFRC Kitchener but I got the call...

"Out of your 3 choices, you are most competitive for this one" was basically how it was said.

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

It's been a while since i updated how my applications been going. I finished my interview and everything I had to do in November and was informed that I was most competitive for Eng O so I switched that to my first choice and Inf O to my second. I've had two references contacted and now i'm...

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

It's nice to hear how everyone's process is going and good luck to all on that. Canada94 sucks to hear about the elbow, heal up soon. As for me, I just got the call to schedule my CFAT so I'm pretty happy to be moving along in the process. Recruiting Center: CFRC Kitchener Regular/Reserve...

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

That might be a good call because there have been a few things that on the application that could use clarification aha. Um as far as i know you can bring in your updated transcript after midterms for first semester of Gr. 12 and have those considered as well.

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

It's nice to start hearing from more people! I called my local CFRC the other day and they told me to do the online application and sent it the National Recruiting Center in North Bay. I thought it would just be processed through the applicants preferred RC. I guess not. So now I'm doing that...

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

No problem. I guess it does make sense to continue at UW if you already go there. Good idea talking to the recruiter, hope that goes well. Well I cant say i know much about your chances, it's all about how you stack up against the other applicants. As for improving your chances pudd13's post...

Maybe a more direct approach asking what bothers her about it would be worth trying. Of course i don't know your mother or if you have tried this, but it helped when I was direct with my mom about her feelings on the topic. Best of luck with getting those around you to understand, i'm sure its a...

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

Hey Millerov, at first my mom was pretty shocked that i wanted a career in the military as well. After a while and quite a few discussions about why and the military in general (her understanding was very limited) she came around and now fully supports me. It was hard because i don't know anyone...
