I started ROTP this year, and I think this is a great idea. I think the introduction to how the CF operates is extremely important for those who have no experience, especially the basics such as dealing with claims etc. I have some experience and at times I found it difficult to adjust. I...
Aircrew selection results would have no impact on your ability to voluntarily release. You would have the same options as any other first year RMC cadet whether or not you pass aircrew selection. Of course, if you don't pass they would likely offer you a different occupation.
Also, I know...
I think it's unlikely that he'll be attending NOAB as an Armour applicant.
Victoria does seem strange for RegF BMOQ however, especially since nobody else on here has ever mentioned it as far as I know.
I was referring to the injury system i.e. you actually die if you get shot once in the head.
You don't really have to give that many commands, no more than I would expect from the team leader in that type of situation. Of course, both you and I have no idea what it would really be like. I've...
If you think you die quickly in Splinter Cell, try playing Rainbow Six. I'd say it's even more realistic in that respect, especially on the higher difficulty levels.
As for the next Splinter Cell, I have to disagree and say I have high expectations. They were initially planning a game with a...
I agree. What he said makes sense, however there is no context for it. Sure, there have been delays, but almost every major project has delays. At this point, I don't see any reason to believe that the aircraft will not perform as expected.
Was at the recruiting centre this morning for an interview, and the recruiter confirmed the 0 pilot slots available this year. However he did say that sometimes these numbers change i.e. in a month or two some slots may be made available. Certainly not a guarantee, but hopefully you won't all...
This is the point I was trying to make as well; like I said, it seems unlikely that they wouldn't run any BMQ courses at all. My apoligies if it came across the wrong way.
I'm not really sure what point you're trying to make.
Someone pointed out that it didn't make sense to have a lot of people on BMOQ in the summer, limiting the number of BMQ courses that could be offered. I was merely pointing out that there is an explanation for this, which no one had...
It does make some sense; ROTP officers need to do BMOQ in the summer, as they attend school the rest of the year. This makes up a fairly large group of people to train in the summer, although it seems to me that there would still be room to run a few BMQ courses at the same time. I don't think...
Haven't we been through this already? As far as I remember, the list of requirements was released, and the C27J and C295 were proposed. Is this not correct? Seems like a competition to me..
This kind of info has already been provided somewhere else, I'm not sure exactly where though. Try searching for it, "aircrew selection" or "anav test" would be good places to start.
You are required to hand carry your medical documents to the CFASC. You will have to pick these up (or have them sent to you) from the recruiting centre before you leave.
As far as I know, the obligatory service due to ROTP and the VIE ("contract") are two completely separate things. 13 years is essentially the amount of time that the CF is required to employ you. The obligatory service is the amount of time you must spend in the CF to make up for them paying...
I was at CFASC in January, and the ACSO test was optional. It took place in the afternoon after we received our CAPSS results. A number of people who passed CAPSS did not write the ACSO exam. Everyone who failed CAPSS wrote the exam, even those that weren't really interested in being an ACSO...
Corey, I received the list of summer trg dates for Air Ops people from my ULO. You are on the list, scheduled 4 May-14 Aug, along with myself and what seems like the majority. PM me your email if you would like me to forward the message.
As far as I can tell, they're putting in a fair effort to try to pump people through now, which is good, it's too bad they're running into so much trouble with it. Hopefully they'll get everything running somewhat smoothly soon.
