I had two kids go through Cadets.  Both joined almost the minute they turned 12 (their choice), and both aged out, one as DSM, one as RSM.  They worked hard, they had fun, they learned respect, discipline, commitment to their community, leadership, and made some amazing friends that, even years...

Susan, my son is also going this month.  I worry about him, but take comfort in knowing that he and the men and women he will be there with are extremely well trained. Keep smiling, think positive and be strong for your son.  And remember, you're not alone.
