Just an update: Course is going well.. we graduate on July 9... but for the inspections (which are now over, thank god lol) the course hasn't been too hard for me I have like a mid 90 avg.. most of the time is spent on computers doing Mims applications and searching the 007... alot of hands-on...

I'm a 27 yr old male... doing SQ right now wouldn't be my first choice (not that i have much of a say)... I'm from NS so I'm hopeful to stick w/ the navy element (in Halifax) for the first part of my career... I know purple means I can posted w/ all 3 elements.. just my preference right now...

Anyone who reads my previous post will have an idea of how long this ride has been... Monday I start week 12 in farham (normany exercise), then it's grad week, the big day is jan31 (can't wait)... after being/surviving in farham this past week (11) I'm not too worried about this next week...

At the beginning of the month I completed the 13k march during basic... make sure you ruck is adjusted to your liking before you start moving (adjusting it during the march can be tricky) and then it's just mind over matter... talking with people helps take you mind off any pain you're feeling...

I start week 10 when I get back to the mega... week 8 is a big week , 3 tests that week: drill, weapons and topo... bmq has been great but i can't wait to be finally done... good luck to all.

I'm also on Xmas leave from BMQ in St.Jean... we start week 10 when I get back.. glad to have the week at the mega before 11/12 in Farnham... staying in shape over the holiday can be tricky for some but it's gotta be done... I'm gonna be glad when Feb 1 comes around it's the day I graduate BMQ...

Thanks Halifax Tar for all the info, it's appreciated... I know supply techs (all purple trades) can be posted with all three elements, but the CFRC said that generally your FIRST posting is with your uniform (navy in my case)... plus I have a good idea what the trade entails on air/land bases...

Just an update.. I'm starting BMQ Oct 8, course ends Feb 1.. looks like I'll be getting 2-3 weeks off for x-mas/new years, which will be nice... I've heard about 3 courses starting in Oct (1,8,16), wouldn't be surprised it there was one more added (23?) at the end of the month.

miramidown, looks like we'll be swearing in on the same day and starting BMQ on the same day.. I'm also swearing in at halifax, got my offer this morning too..small world lol

Got my call this morning, I start BMQ in St. Jean October 8 (leaving from halifax on 7th) course # 0090... the wait has been long (7 months) but glad to finally have a job offer.

I called my CFRC today for an update... was told that I should be getting my call sometime this week... so I might be on a Oct BMQ date afterall, we'll see.

I'm also dealing with CFRC Halifax... last I heard(few weeks ago) my med file was being reviewed by the RMO, after it clears I should be merit listed... I'd love to get a Oct BMQ date.. I reapplied back in Feb... what else do you know about the swearing in? has everyone already been contacted? I...
