I hate to disappoint everybody but I am presently waiting at 107 weeks for a new application and still waiting with no end in sight.

Yes, it is backed dated to the date of application.

In your My VAC Account, check the "Current benefits and payment history" page, your new amount might be shown there if favourable. Or the decision letter may be uploaded in your Inbox.  Either way, check both.....Good Luck and congratulations if favourable.

In speaking with many staff members at VAC, it has come to my attention that many veterans show disrespect when communicating with a VAC worker.  Perhaps things are not going smoothy with delays in Disability applications or other benefits and with unfavourable decisions but it is rude to vent...

6 months ago I called VAC and the adjudicators were working on files from July 2018. Now they are working on files from August 2018.  At that rate they will never catch up. 

What is the latest numbers on the backlog of Disability Claims?  Does VAC have a short or long term plan to solve this situation.  I have been waiting 105 weeks for a decision and still counting with no end in sight.  Am I alone out there?  Thank you

Hey RangerDave listen up. Your dates appear to be off by 1 year.  Do you mean 2018 not 2017?

My disability claim has been at Veterans Affairs Canada now since January 8, 2018 which equates to 104 weeks far cry from 16 weeks turn around time.  Am I the only one with a lengthy wait time?  Is this normal?
