An update for anyone still affected by the SDA backpay issue. I've heard there was a CONFORGEN released this week stating that all active service members have now been paid out. My end Dec pay stub was e-mailed to me today, and unfortunately I still haven't received it. I plan on inquiring...
Myself and a few others I know still haven't received our SDA backpay yet either. I wonder if we should expect to see it on the end Dec pay if it has indeed been "completed"?
For anyone still following this topic: I was told yesterday by my BOR that any file that had been missed during the original processing has been sent to Ottawa and that those files will not see the funds until after December. Another CANFORGEN is supposed to come out soon RE: this topic.
@dapaterson - roger that. I hadn't seen those details or realize it wouldn't have an effect on CAF increase. Thanks for the heads up.
@George Wallace - haha, yes, I was waiting for someone to call me out on that. I value the input and open discussion on here, so I just seen it as another...
I have been following this thread for a while and am well aware of the reasons for the wait. I've heard that PSAC also has their numbers settled, which is why I inquired if anyone was in the know.
I know that a CANFORGEN was sent out earlier this year stating that personnel who has their SDA ceased while their ship's were temporarily in shore offices would be getting audited and receiving retroactive pay for the missed allowance. It stated that the aim was to have it all paid out by...
Has anyone heard any updates re: the cost of living adjustment? I've heard rumors that the numbers have been settled and we'll see it in September, but there hasn't been any official CANFORGENs out yet....

1) When you are "deployed" or sailing as I call it, you don't have any days off per se while at sea, but when you are in a foreign port you typically have 75% of the days in port off (or...
Sorry, no written references. I was just informed by a winger that it was brought up in HODS and CHODs that a home port duty watch review is underway and that there would be more to come.
I was wondering if anyone could provide suggestions on things that should be covered in a cohabitation agreement. I was warned by a few CF fellas that if you have lived with a common law partner, they would be entitled to a portion of your pension in the event of a separation. I know that...
I've completed my three months of NEIP after arriving here in Esquimalt and I personally wasn't a fan of it (in fact, I don't know anyone who has gone through the program and said that said they liked it). The only benifit that I can see is that it does get personnel in the gym more and also...
I just recently graduated from BMQ and as far as I know, we all had to wait until we reported to our next posting to find out if you can take any leave. When I arrived I spent 2 days on PAT and then received a week and a half off. Hope this helps.
There is five of us flying in from Halifax and arriving around 0900 I believe on July 3rd. I could have sworn we were told there would be a bus there, maybe we will have to wait until 1100 when more people arrive.... not sure.
