    safety wire

Answer: All we have is monel (that i could find, even in tool crib) but our job only required monel, so were all good. I looked through the CFTO's at various install jobs (not all of them, of course) and only found one reference that required me to use inconel, and that was on the exhaust cone...

    safety wire

Been having a debate and wanted to know if anyone can help. Just wondering wich type of safety wire (lock wire) is prefered in a hot zone, Monel or Inconel? Thought we were taught in Borden to use Inconel but my retention on this subject may be shadey.  :blotto: -Oz

Future of AVS & AVN Tech's

So would that mean you could join the CF as a Armament Tech? Or will it be a AVN spinoff? Just curious as I would prefer NOT to a weapon tech, Not that theres anything wrong with that.  ;D Just Seems like it might be a slow job in Greenwood.  :P

    TUAV's

It would seem some of what I was told was true. As expected this selection has passed me by but there is always next time. I can only assume training will be in Aldershot to keep guys closer to home for a while (guys from Greenwood anyway).  :P Blue Grunt and Loachman how would you rate your...

    TUAV's

Didnt get to the TUAV briefing in Greenwood but as I understand it the basic idea is that were going to be less Army dependent in regard to UAV's. Were going to do all the work and we'll have the Army there for support. But this is second hand info. I only posted it because there is not much...

Aviation Systems Technician ( AVN Tech )

lateralus, I finished the course 6 months ago now. But I didnt find my Borden experience too bad and now that I look back it was a pretty good time.
