Oh I know the whole story, seen the paperwork (CF and VAC), and the payout, and I know it's not the norm. This person I was speaking from did this all after they were adminstratively discharged, needless to say we don't speak anymore because of this incident. Trust me this person I am speaking...

Seen. Makes sense, yeah I don't know how the process totally works...I just know what he claimed and what the payout was in one inviduals case, needless to say, his actions disgusting in my books, but again not the norm.

I know of a few malingers went and claimed PTSD after getting admin seperated from the CF. I know both inviduals well, they were pumps, never actually employed in their trade,, never were promoted, never deployed (one of them spent sometime in club ed) spent years on and off the lame and lazy...

Sad day for his family and friends. I didn't share is political views, however the doubt very much that the NDP party will be the same without him, as he was an excellent leader and politician.

I don't have them, the medals are with that persons children, family members of mine. I have no control over them. I am not saying collectors should be stopped, you choose to purchase medals off ebay and you want to preserve them, go for it. I do have issues with people who are just peddlers...

I never said anything said merchant was doing was illegal, and some which are 30 bucks a pop are hardly thousands of dollars. What's the difference between them sitting in someone's home, vs in a vault not much, little sunlight from the window now and then. What happens when that person croaks...

I didn't say the person who runs that site gathers said medals illegally. Reread . I said they were potentially being gathered from places where the medals originally ended up illegally (theft not that it's illegal to sell them) And yes my opinion is and I stand by it, is that I hardly think...

It turns my stomach that some asshat makes such lucrative deals, on things like medals. You have to wonder how they were obtained and if obtained from places like pawn shops, flea markets, etc etc, if any of them were originally illegally obtained.

I don't think we need conceal weapons permits, honestly it prevents some idiot from getting road rage and just happening to have his weapon on him. Canadians have gone this long without such permits in recent years, the ******* world has not exploded in such some sort of post apocalyptic horror...

Why is it that people with you know medical disorders think it should be no big deal getting in the CF, or when they can't get in kick up their heels. I would think it would be common sense one has to be of near perfect sound of mind and body to you know do the military gig, but apparently not...

That or some asshat who showed up to BMQ, and couldn't hack it and or couldn't pass the PT to save his life. Thank god though the DS downed him fast, I had enough of the apparent "merc" last time he popped up on the boards.

Talk about over kill. Nice read between the lines there, btw it's a msg board and in my field I am all for professionalism and getting things right however there is right as in the right way of doing things, and right because you can't stand to be wrong, or rather just like the sound of your own...

I know guys who have gotten their medals in their mailbox, so that doesn't surprise me.
