Is N3D Dress (Summer Tan) Back in Order?

Otherwise, what uniform is this? Also curious to see the flag patch and visible undershirt.

The Never-ending Roaming of Navy Accoutrements

It appears that sometime in early WWII the Royal Navy (including the Commonwealth Navies) and the U.S. Navy changed the service cap from black to white. That continues to today. Was there a particular reason why they did that?

    The Case for AEW&C Aircraft

Major air powers in the world - including the naval aviation of certain navies - operate Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft. Notably absent from those air powers is the Royal Canadian Air Force. All G7 countries except Canada; China, Russia, Brazil, India, Australia, even...

    Proper Use of Post-Nominals

Ugh, it happens again. The CO of my child's cadet corps just received his CD. Previously he did not put any post-nominal on his signature, but now with his CD his signature becomes: Lt(N) Joe Public, CD, P.Eng. Commanding Officer, RCSCC Enterprise Department of National Defence / Government of...

    Wearing Uniform in Public (merged)

Hello, I have another case. My wife works in a company that sells stuff. Not for public retails but for contractors. Her boss the Location Manager, is apparently a CIC Officer. I believe he is the CO or XO of his unit. The thing is, during the day of the week where he has cadets in the evening...

Army returns to dark blue or khaki berets for Foot Guards and technical corps

As well, I thought the readopting of the curl was the correct decision? Of the well-known maritime forces in the world that were using sleeve stripes as ranks, virtually all of them used either a variation of the curl or a device / insignia / star on or above the stripes. Only the then Maritime...

Army returns to dark blue or khaki berets for Foot Guards and technical corps

Not that I am questioning you personally but can one not argue that the blue beret is a specialty for ARTY, RCEME, RCCS and INT? It just happens that all but INT are Army-specific trades. It would be funny if Navy and Air Force retaliate by issuing different color berets for their own INT.

Army returns to dark blue or khaki berets for Foot Guards and technical corps

Interesting, considering that Navy and Air Force MP and CANSOFCOM wear Scarlet and Tan, respectively.

Army returns to dark blue or khaki berets for Foot Guards and technical corps

Are INT members wearing Navy and Air Force uniforms eligible to wear the dark blue beret?

The Dress Instructions say: With that, can a Reservist not go to a photo studio to have her photograph in uniform taken for personal use?

    Questions about joining the Reserves

Hello, I have a son that will reach 16 in 6 months time. He has been wanting to join the Reserve while continuing high school. He has his sight on two purple trades. Now, as of now those trades are offered by two different Reserve units in our city, one Navy and one Army. My question is, is...

    Proper Use of Post-Nominals

While the Project Management Institute has many chapters in all over the world, including Canada, the organization itself is chartered and headquartered in Pennsylvania. As well, the certificate is issued in Pennsylvania. As for the person in my question, what I meant by he got the certificate...

    Proper Use of Post-Nominals

Hello, Is it appropriate to use a post-nominal from a private organization in a military setting? I know someone who puts his civilian, private certification on his name. The organization is not even located in Canada and I know that he got that certification on his civilian job. Example is...
