Vision Questions Megathread, Categories, Problems etc.

I'm in a similar spot (V4 aiming for a V3-2 trade in need of LASIK), I actually inquired about this to a bunch of different CAF recruiting teams (unit, medical) and was basically told that they do accept people that have had laser surgery, with some limitations. It must be Lasik, LASEK or PRK...

New WW2 strategy game in development featuring Canadian Forces

Haha yeah the more recent games just turn your units into tanks that can take an entire magazine's worth of bullets but turn up that difficulty and they just get one-shotted like in every other title, really encourages you to use everything you can find to progress through but it's a slog for sure.

New WW2 strategy game in development featuring Canadian Forces

If this interests you, I'd recommend giving the Men of War Series a look. It has a similar setup (control and handful of troops+vehicles and clear out a map full of baddies) but is a bit more physics and RTS-based. Set up a few mods, maybe fool around in the editors and its infinite fun

    Conduct after Capture Instructor (CACI)

Thank you again. I'll put this on the back burner until at least completing BMQ (if I get that far), but dang this sounds up my alley and I would love to look into it further once I am able to. Working in small teams with hardworking, talented CAF members that live and breathe survivalism and...

    Conduct after Capture Instructor (CACI)

As per this article from 2017 that I dug up: "Ideally, CAC training will induce sufficiently high levels of transient controlled stress to facilitate inoculation, following which a return to baseline will occur. However, to date, the effects of training-related stress on psychological and...

    Conduct after Capture Instructor (CACI)

Good afternoon all, I was wondering if anybody on this board could provide any insight into the training or duties of Conduct after Capture Instructors, or CACIs. Now admittedly I still haven't been enrolled yet (final processing stage) and the oft-repeated mantra of "get in first, finish BMQ"...

    CFAT Rewrite process

I, unfortunately, do not meet the vision standards for any combat arms trades.

    CFAT Rewrite process

Regarding transferring out of a trade, I am aware of the difficulty involved but was unaware of just how much pushback I'd receive if I did attempt to make a change. I have received similar answers from various CAF members on this topic and am considering my options. Regarding my selected...

    CFAT Rewrite process

First things first I apologize for misgendering you, I am aware that women frequent this forum too and I recognize that I should have been more cautious (It was literally in your username, no excuses). Second, I wasn't offered any combat arms trades on the CFAT (my original goal) so I am being...

    CFAT Rewrite process

Yeah, I've passed the required waiting time and have around 15 hours of study logged in at the moment with sources and all that. Planning on requesting it next month if all goes well. Though I may just wait it out until I'm enrolled and in basic because they said I'm slated for a spring BMQ but...

    CFAT Rewrite process

Hey all, In an email from my local CFRC I was told that being accepted for a retest would require a study log with a minimum of 30hrs of studying in the three areas that I was tested on, how would I go about recording this in the right way? Do they check? Is there a specific way of doing that...

Canadian Forces Aptitude Test (CFAT) [MERGED]

I'm sorry if I was being unclear, I am being processed as an Intelligence Operator but am nowhere near close to being on the CL, let alone receiving a call. I'd really recommend asking your recruiter about this as I wouldn't want to speak on something I'm not confident about knowing for certain.

Canadian Forces Aptitude Test (CFAT) [MERGED]

Hi, so I didn't qualify for Int O as I do not have a degree but I did indeed qualify for and request to be processed as an Int Op, currently awaiting the results of my medical. As for the CFAT from what I know I scored lower on the spatial ability and problem-solving aspects of the test, but...

CFAT scores qualify for Sig, Intelligence, tech trades, but not Infantry?

Yeah, I think I'm starting to see the bigger picture. Didn't study hard enough, came in at a bad time likely intellectually and physically (eyesight), couldn't make the cut-off, that's on me. I hold no ill will towards the CF regarding any of this. I greatly appreciate your and everyone else's...
