Changing Avatar
« on: December 26, 2006, 14:45:52 »
Is anyone else having trouble changing their avatar?  It doesn't save for me whether I enter a URL for a picture, or upload my own.

yes

I've changed mine before and the change didn't seem to take
immediate effect but happened later on (hours later)

Good judgment comes from bad experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

Just going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in your garage makes you a car.

It's taken now, but it took me trying quite a few times.  And even when I thought it had taken a couple of times, if I logged off then back on, it wasn't the new one.

Cute new avatar airmich, but then again I'm biased.  ;)  Looks familiar somehow?

Avatar changes take effect immediately, but because of caching (usually in the browser, sometimes in the network) it can take a while to become visible. I always right click on my avatar, view image, then reload that. The new image will appear and be visible from that point on.
