Life as an officer??
« on: February 06, 2017, 16:47:33 »
Hi,

I have a BAC in mechanical engineering. I'm planning to enter the Canadian army. I just want to know what is the life of an officer in the army. Did you travel a lot, did you go home every day after the job, did you need to move frequently, did you need....

Thanks

I just want to know what is the life of an officer in the army.

If you enjoy helping those in need, in times of conflict or natural disasters, in Canada or around the world, a career in the Army may be for you. At home in Canada, and on deployments overseas, you will defend our country’s sovereignty and values with the highest standards of military excellence. Regular or Reserve Force, a career in the Canadian Army is a unique mix of service and skill, camaraderie and commitment, action and adventure.

To add to mariomike, life varies wildly depending on what trade and unit you're in.  What trade are you looking to join?
Philip II of Macedon to Spartans (346 BC):  "You are advised to submit without further delay, for if I bring my army into your land, I will destroy your farms, slay your people, and raze your city."
